Description
An evergreen tree native to Patagonia’s temperate forests. It has distinctive dark green, leathery leaves with deep lobes and a fine hairy texture. In summer, the tree produces clusters of small, creamy-white to pale yellow flowers that attract pollinators. Its seed pods are woody and release winged seeds, allowing for wind dispersal. Growing up to 15 meters tall, Lomatia hirsuta thrives in mountainous regions with well-drained soils.
